Market at a Glance: Setting Up for a Shift?

Hey Investors,

Today’s market activity sent a quiet—but telling—signal.

The S&P 500 closed just slightly down, which on its own doesn’t mean much… but the underlying chart action is what matters. Unlike previous sessions that were flat across the board, today’s minor downturn appears to align with seasonal norms and suggests we may finally be seeing the start of a downward move.

Nothing is for certain or 100% ever in the market, but I am preparing for put entries.

📊 Chart Perspective

- We’re beginning to see a downside bias form on the daily charts.

- This could mark the beginning of a 3–5 day move lower, which sets up a strong opportunity for put trades.

- The smaller intraday charts are still in a Bollinger Band squeeze, meaning low volatility persists — but that volatility being pulled from the market means when the charts pull out you generally get an explosion of movement to one side or the other.

🎯 What I’m Watching

- Put setups on indexes (QQQ and SPY) — if we get a clear break to the downside tomorrow.

- Covered call opportunities — I’ll be looking to sell calls on longer-held positions to generate cash flow.

- I’m waiting for the charts to confirm direction before entering.

💰 Income Opportunities

Covered calls can churn profit while the broader market winds up for its next move. If you’re not sure how to set those up, remember the 5% income solution I wrote about on Sunday.

We’re in the quiet before the move.

- If tomorrow confirms the break, expect fast, sharp downside.
- If the squeeze continues, stay patient — the longer it builds, the bigger the pop when it releases.

Watch closely. Be ready.
